Stack N Cans – Story
Our journey with Stack N' Cans began over six years ago, born from a simple need and a complex problem. My wife, always mindful of our family's preparedness, had long been frustrated with existing food storage solutions. We've all experienced the common issues: cans hidden behind others, difficulty rotating stock, wasted space, and the frustration of finding expired food at the back of the pantry. Traditional can organizers often forced you to store more of certain items than you needed, while not providing enough space for favorites. The pandemic only heightened our awareness of how quickly the world can change, and the importance of being prepared.
The design process was a labor of love and persistence. For over six years, we went back and forth, refining concepts and tackling challenges one by one. We needed a solution that was expandable, versatile, and could turn unused spaces into efficient storage areas. Each iteration brought us closer to our goal, but it wasn't until we made a life-changing decision that everything fell into place.
Our design process culminated in a truly unique solution - so innovative, in fact, that it's patent-pending. This isn't just another can organizer; it's a completely new approach to food storage that addresses the common frustrations we've all experienced.
In a leap of faith, I left my six-figure IT Director position to fully commit to this vision. We moved to an old schoolhouse in Latah, Washington - a town smaller than my elementary school's 5th-grade class. This move provided us with a workshop, finally allowing us to transform our theoretical designs into tangible prototypes.
We named our product 'Stack N' Cans,' a simple, straightforward name that encapsulates what we do. It's about efficient storage, yes, but it's about so much more. It's about peace of mind. We sleep well at night knowing that for a minimal investment, we've resolved a worst-case scenario situation. And now, we want to bring that same peace of mind to other families.
Our vision for Stack N' Cans goes beyond just selling a product. We aim to bless other families by adding a quality, Made in USA product to their food security plan. We're leveraging modern technology in our design and manufacturing processes, allowing us to innovate rapidly and operate efficiently. This edge helps us compete with big companies that drop-ship products from overseas, while keeping our production local. We're sourcing materials and labor from our community, supporting families and small towns.
In a world where the average price of a can of corn has risen significantly since 2019, we see Stack N' Cans not just as an organizational tool, but as a hedge against uncertainty. It's a way for families to secure their food future efficiently and economically.
As we continue to grow, we hope to provide jobs to our community, nearly an hour away from the nearest shopping center. We're not just building can organizers; we're building security, community, and a future where preparedness is accessible to all.
At Stack N' Cans, we believe in living wisely and being prepared. Not out of fear, but out of a commitment to our families and communities. Join us in our mission to make food storage simpler, more efficient, and a cornerstone of family security.
